If you have contacted her, do share what you've learned. Please don't take it personally that is what bandwidth is for - to use, and if you got the impression I was complaining you are wrong. You just can attract all kinds of comments from the peanut gallery when it gets big, bandwidth is like a rolling ball of adhesive. l disagree about Montrose being all stirred up and I would avoid thinking that the respectable citizens of Montrose could be so greedy or gullible. I mean, it sounds more like Mr. Curry is pretty good about garnering publicity "there is no such thing as bad publicity" and he would win a prize for that.p Regarding your questions about Sandra you have for me: "Where has Sandra offered meteorites for sale?" The claim was that the stones subject to the dispute were being sold by a charitable organization. The charitable organization on file on the Colorado site is the the one I provided the link to and lists meteorite sales as the source of income. If you think it is a safe bet that all the rocks Mr. Curry sells are duds, just remember that a claim of tax-deductibility, charity, etc., require a registration of the organization. On that registration, and the assumption is that Osirius is that organization, the responsible person for the finances and treasury is Ms. Sandra. So it doesn't matter whether she is the salesman or not; what matters is that she has the fiduciary responsibility of the organization. That's the way corporate finance works. The first head to roll is the Controllers is there is any hanky panky. So if anyone has been defrauded at all under this organization, she is the one responsible for any/all fraud in the organization. Hope that helps, Bill. This will be my last comment ever on this topic, I promise. Kindest wishes Doug -----Original Message----- From: bill kies <parkforestmet at hotmail.com> To: mexicodoug at aim.com Cc: meteorite-list at meteoritecentral.com Sent: Wed, Aug 31, 2011 1:03 am Subject: RE: [meteorite-list] Montrose Meteorites / Steve Curry Sounds like you've taken more than a passing interest in this Doug. It looks like Curry has everyone stirred up on a local level. I can see how merchants would get revved up by promises of a rainbow in this economy. The price of gas alone has crushed tourism permanently. Nothing like an endless strewnfield to get things going in Montrose. Where has Sandra offered meteorites for sale? Have you already talked to Sandra? Why do you assume that I haven't contacted Sandra? I think it's a safe bet that all the Curry rocks are duds. I know you're an expert on bandwith usage.
