Dear Rob, John and List,
  The was most likely ONE meteor and no information about the duration of it has been suggested by anyone except Rob`s mis-intrepretation. The times that Rob is referring to are people`s search times (after the event) and nothing else. The only value of the search time is to know approximately when the event might have occurred prior.
