Well I got an email too.

Mr. Curry is reading our texts. Thus, he should know that we all spend
a great deal of time helping others with meteorite identification and
trying to make this hobby better. We are not paid to assist and have
no vested interests in protecting lunar or martian meteorite
collection values. How so? One cannot protect values because the
amount/rarity of each fall is unique to itself. For example, If a huge
amount of a fall was discover and sold, its price would be determined
by market supply and demand. For example, NWA 869 would have been much
more costly had there not been so much of it! And too the owner(s) of
the fall can control the price by releasing the amount(s) to the
market but he/they is/are the only one(s).

Testing facilities and university professors do not attempt to control
the market. The truth of the matter is they have been so eager to
discover new finds, in the past they have tested for free. Testing in
itself is an expensive undertaking because only one in a thousand
samples sent in results in being meteoritic. With the popularity of
Meteorite Men, the ratio has probably doubled or tripled and thus many
universities have completely stopped testing due to a lack of funding
in these lean times.

Hopeful persons may get mad when a sample is returned and told it is
not a meteorite. We as collectors get upset when persons ignore the
experts and repetitively clog the system with wrongs. Perhaps setting
back real classification work and limited budgets from months to
years.

Here is my suggestion to you, SC. Let other meteorite experts verify
and classify your best suspect meteorite. If your meteorite claim
cannot be independently verified it will never be recognized as
genuine, never. There will always be a shadow over it. There is no
conspiracy. If you have a meteorite, it can be independently verified
overseas if you wish. But you must face facts too. If it is not a
meteorite, accept that fact without false excuses. It if is an
independently verified and classified meteorite then you can attempt
to prove it has fossils, just let your steps be transparent so you can
announce to the world without the suspect meteorite accusation.

You have a whole list of meteorite dealers and collectors including
Lunar and Martian experts that would be probably be willing to answer
questions for you, one question at a time and one suspect meteorite at
a time. Depending on your humility, all you have to do is ask (not
demand, not argue).

Remember that all the photos and web sites that persons use to try to
self classify their found rocks were put there by the same experts
that are instantly viewed as non-experts or dishonest when their
suspect meteorite is reported to be or is dismissed as a wrong. It
can't be both ways!

Best,
Ken Newton

Delusional persons live through the contention they can get others to participate in. They don't give a damn what you say. It's all about what they get to say. And it will go on amd on.

It became grim in both cases. In the end, they both committed suicide by violent means. I'll provide their names and the details of what finally got them to kill themselves off list for those interested.
