For them to suggest it is not a meteorite based on it's shape and absents of *burn marks* assures me that these folks have not seen very many meteorites. Although some do, very few Irons such as Sikhote- Alins have *burn marks.* Additionally , the Alan wrench shape within it could be a remnant of an ablated mineral. Lastly these *experts* suggested that the man "take pieces of it and analyze it's composition". What tests did these guys do? The magnet test? This is at least the second odd fall in New Jersey over the past few years. The last one fell through a roof just 20 miles away in Freehold township and was deemed to be *space Junk* . It too was never properly analyzed . http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,272212,00.html Again, this may not be a meteorite but what happened to the Science? As Elton always says,"don't ignore the Science"! Was it compared to the Freehold space rock? They were both Summer falls. One in May and one in July. What is this thing and not that it really matters but, what does it look like? Almahata Sitta and the Hoba (brick shaped) teaches us that meteorites CAN be ANY shape. So why not go the extra mile and tell us what this thing is? Couldn't NASA check this out? The mysterious rock that almost conked township resident Salvadore D'Addario on the head a year ago is still that: a mystery." "...it most definitely is not a meteorite."
