As explained, this will usually save buyer $ due to the other bidder not having time to cave in and say "I want it bad enough to spend just a bit more" and push final price up even though he will not win. A well timed snipe allows you the best bid amount for your max bid. Greg C. ------Original Message------ From: Matson, Robert D. As a result, whatever limit bid, X, the leading bidder has established can easily be trumped in the final seconds by another bidder bidding X+delta, where delta is the minimum differential bid. Experienced eBay buyers employ this strategy at all times, whether in person or through a cyber-agent. --Rob ______________________________________________ Visit the Archives at http://www.meteoritecentral.com/mailing-list-archives.html Meteorite-list mailing list Meteorite-list at meteoritecentral.com http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list Sent on the Sprint?
