Hi List,

This statement made by Ruben is unsettling:

************************************************************************************
This is REAL! John has been saying this was in the works for weeks now
- It seems that the recent interest in meteorites made them look into
doing this.
*************************************************************************************

I have been saying for years that when talking to the press, the monetary value of these pieces should be avoided. Inflated dollar figures when taunted to the press always attracts unwanted attention and many times will result in new restrictions.

Professional treasure hunters seldom talk about value or exact find locations. They learned years ago that the media can and will cause problems especially when there is a perception of great value! I have been treasure hunting since 1976 and have seen this avocation become restrictive to the point it is barely worth pursuing. I see the same thing happening to meteorites at an alarming rate.

Best Regards,

Adam
