I believe the sign was yellow and had a shooting star painted on it.? There was a women running it and I think she was African-American. I remember her telling me to put a magnet on a stick and search- she even gave me a magnet.? She also gave me a small piece of this iron-shale stuff she said was from the crater.? She even told me the area to search.? I stopped a few places but only looked a little, as I needed to get to CA.? Again this was in 1997. Does this sound familar?
