Hi List, Gold Basin has some beautiful iron in it. I just posted to my
Meteorite Micrograph Gallery (hosted by the Meteorite Exchange and Meteorite
Times) some very close up images of iron flecks found in Gold Basin.

These images are taken in reflected light and are quite different than the
standard pass through Xpol images with all the colors. This technique is
a true color look up close. I finish with a magnification of 1600X so it
is a very up close view.

These images are a "Must See" for fans of Gold Basin or iron in meteorites.
