Http://www.qmig.net thin-section project continues...

I've uploaded an index webpage at http://www.qmig.net/thinsection which
lets you see what is retired or current and hyperlinks to the current
webpages

New webpages early next week - BARRATTA, HUCKITTA, NARYILCO

The BARRATTA thin-section was very old and the adhesive has discoloured it
a bit as well as there being difficulties getting a sharp focus on it
likely because it is not perfectly level or the same thickness all the way
across

I have made arrangements for another thin-section of BARRATTA to be made
and I'll no doubt update the BARRATTA webpage in due course

BARRATTA is a very pretty chondrite and youse may not be aware that it was
the first Australian meteorite found by the European settlers

NARYILCO should of course also provide extraordinary micrographs

I intend to retire the KAPOETA, TOOKABARNOO and ZAGAMI webpages this
coming Monday to rotate the new webpages - so those that seek reference
micrographs will have to download them while they can

No sneak preview of the new micrographs yet - maybe early Monday !
