I guess I read the query in a very different way.
What I thought the question meant was what is the smallest main mass for an entire type. IOW, there are no larger specimens of that type, not the smallest main masses for meteorites that are within that type.

For example Type "Y", grades 3 - 7 has one meteorite main mass that is 30kg, but hundreds of other meteorites named in that type that are smaller.
Type "X", grades 1 -3 has one meteorite main mass of 53.1g, and a few dozen others that are smaller.
Type "Z", grades 3 - 7 also has a few dozen different examples, but in this entire type the largest main mass is 53.6g.

This the single answer is Type "Y" with the smallest main mass of 53.1g

I don't have the answer to the original question, and maybe I've got it wrong here, but it seems to me the answers are going in a direction very different than expected. At least the way I expected them to go. I figured there would be a single definitive answer. "This meteorite is the smallest main mass for the entire type."
