Hello Warren, All,
I was the person who asked the seller for better photos of its surface.
While it does grossly resemble weathered stony meteorites such as
Dimmitt and many other plains stones, the protruding corners where its
brown rind has been worn off (more easily seen in 3rd photo) make the
stone look more like a hematite/sandstone concretion, because the
texture looks rather like...either sandstone or quartzite. Which
isn't to say that it's not a meteorite with a nice rind of terrestrial
rubbish cemented it, but it's a bit of a funny shape for that.
No guarantees, but I'm not bidding...I would if I thought it were a good one
