I don't want to sound callous, since there was a reported death and some property damage, but one of my first thought was, What a Godsend! I don't know how good the country's recycling and hazardous waste program is but it looks like it would take quite a few years to fill that hole with the area's refuse. Anyway, they would have to fill it up sooner or later with something. Oh well.
