[meteorite-list] OC man believes he's found a meteor

Hi all and Happy New year!

I had a guy on an HF ham radio net a few years ago tell me he saw a
"flaming meteorite" land right near him. He swore it was "sparking"
as it hit and was red hot and smoking. I tried to explain to him it
wasn't possible but he wouldn't hear of it. I suggested that maybe
someone was playing a joke on him but "no way" was his answer. I let
it go and moved on.
