The interior of meteorites usually stay cold all the way to the ground, except for rare acceptions. Diamonds from impact would be another story. --AL Mitterling >From Sunny Tucson ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ron Baalke" <baalke at zagami.jpl.nasa.gov> To: "Meteorite Mailing List" <meteorite-list at meteoritecentral.com> Sent: Wednesday, February 03, 2010 8:23 PM Subject: [meteorite-list] Meteorite Yields Carbon Crystals Harder ThanDiamond >experienced the intense heat and pressure of entering the Earth's >atmosphere and crashing into the ground.
