Shawn,

The best time to look is after midnight, and try to get as far away from city lights as you can. The shower's radiant (where the meteors all seem to come from) will be in the N.E. sky about midway between the constellations of Perseus and Cassiopeia. Cassiopeia looks like a big letter W.
