I interviewed the fellow who did the scans while we smoked cigaretters outside the first news conference. BUT you have to ask yourself, which find is more significant, ALH 84001, or the Shiva Crater? Oh, and by the way , what this new work means is that the back contamination hazard just increased to the point where manned Mars flight will not be possible for many many years to come... if ever. In other words, for many people, manned Mars flight just became as popular as swine flu... so don't go planning your budgets on that basis. E.P.
