In French a crater (crat?re) is a hole made by a meteorite even when it is very small. In this statement, I wanted to say that one of the two meteorites was found in a hole. The second meteorite hit a rocky wall which broke the stone in numerous fragments and leaving a trace on the rock. I hope I can provide some pictures very soon. Best, Philippe Thomas Ok, now I am more confused by your ebay auction page. You state that a small crater was formed, but a 35 kilo stone will not form a small crater. If it smashed against the rocks, then there would be no crater of any kind, as a 35 kilo stone would just turn to fragments and perhaps make a mark on the rocks. So, if there is a crater, there must be hundreds or thousands of kilos. If there is a 35 kilo stone smashed into thousands of fragments, there would be no sign of any crater, epecially on the rocks.
