Then before manned Mars flight will be possible it will have to be definitively shown that all of them are neither pathenogenic nor hostile to Earth's ecosystem. In which case all money spent on Thiokol's Ares 5 would be a complete waste. (Which is not to say that it isn't already.) E.P.
