[meteorite-list] West Texas meteorite fall

Mike, Moritz, Robert, and Shauna:

Great work.

I was wondering if this fall was on private, city, or government property, and who actually owns the finds. Do you guys get permission from all private property owners before you enter an area? (Mike, I know you indicated in a previous post that you did get permission from one farmer). Do the property owners get anything in return for letting you on their property?

With so many people arriving to search, it seems that this could be a concern by those hunters who actually follow all the rules.
