Ramirez-Cardona, M., A. El-Barkooky, M. Hamdan, K.
Flores-Castro, N. I. Jimenez-Martinez, and M.
Mendoza-Espinosa, 2008, On the Libyan Desert Silica
Glass (LDSG) transport model from a hypothetical
impact structure. PIS-01 General contributions to
impact structures, International Geological
Congress Oslo 2008, Oslo, Norway.

"Fragments of this glass are mostly scattered upon
the exposed bedrock of Nubia group (cretaceous
sandstone), on a large surface area along wide
corridors between dunes of the Great Sand Sea
(SW of Egypt). This distribution is somewhat the
result of the tektite fluvial transport occurring
throughout the Oligocene-Miocene boundary."
