I was supposed to use 99,9% denatured alcohol, but 96% was Ok and a lot cheaper. Instead muriatic acid I use acetic (vinegar) acid, with good results (even vinegar worked fine). And ...of course selfmade test was 50 times cheaper than pre-made nickel tests.
