Hi Doug,
        You made my point re Sylacauga. Just because it wasn't a "direct
hit" doesn't mean it did not hit a human.
        As for "Hammer stone" - it goes like this:
I coined the term "hammer" for meteorites that "nailed something" -
Meteorites that struck a man made object, dog, cat, cow, human, etc.
The meteorite, itself is a "hammer."
        Therefore, referencing a "hammer stone" is entirely redundant.
(like saying a "car car").
        Hope that clears it up.
