Well, back now to the statistics of the hourly variation of observed meteorite falls: This diagram can also be interpreted as reflecting the number of people out in the open ... the more people there are the more meteorite falls may be observed. There won't be many people in the streets, on the fields, etc. around midnight. So fewer observed meteorite falls at 24 hrs than in the ealy afternoon when many more people are out in the open and become eye witnesses of falls and the accompanying phenomena!
