Cool Martin, guess membership in this list does pay dividends. I learned
something.
Wonder with all the "tossing around" this meteorite's history involved,
whether the QUARTZ showed signs of "Shock"?

Yes it is - normally if you're able to identify quartz on a suspected stone,
you can throw it away, as it's no meteorite.
But in a very few, of course as you mentioned in very small amounts, quartz
is found - e.g. in some Martian basalts, NWa 856 for instance (if I remember
right) has some.

Thanks Martin for the reference and the link. I know t is only trace, the I
find the presence of quartz interesting.
Is not this highly unusual for any meteorite?

basalt, stemming from an other former large parent body than Vesta.

Well, and beside the manmade uproar - NWA 4901 with it's leopardizing
interchange of transparent and opaque crystals..
that meteorite is one of the most eye-appealing and beautiful stones of all
in our opinion!
And we are sure, that many collectors, who already own a specimen from the
