(Iv'e used Ferric Chloride for years (and also Ammonium Persulfate) - it gives a really good etch, which if neutralized properly afterwards in Sodium carbonate, doesn't rust either...) Do not try repeat process with regularacid! Hello! Please do not try to repeat etch meteorites the same way! http://www.squidoo.com/etched-meteorite-pallasite-seymchan/ At all videos this man did not use ribbon or other gloves, masks, fresh air or other things. The trick is only that he uses special new chemical component. After adding that component into regular acid it become a new chemical composition which one is not more dangerous for hands and body, but working very accurate with iron surface. White powder at the end of process is regular sodium potassium. Best of all that after etching it is doesn't need to preserve slabs ? they stay out of rust for months. For them who like fun ? amazing real optical illusion: http://video-illusion.blogspot.com/ Bests!
