[meteorite-list] Do meteorites fall hot and cold?

Date: Sun, 29 Jul 2007 09:01:46 -0700 (PDT) Message-ID: <748920.62561.qm_at_web36906.mail.mud.yahoo.com> Hi all - Hmmm... if the surface were heated, but the interior remained very cold, then depending on compostiion (conductivity), ablation (heat lost), size, and too many other factors for my small brain to think of right now, then perhaps that may be why some meteorites are cold to the touch after falling, while others are hot enough to start fires.
