<This is the latest news, so, do we know any of these kind folks? And

Jeremy Delaney does research on meteorites and has published a number of meteorite related papers. However extensive petrology work does not necessarily mean knowledge in identification of hand specimens. Despite his background I remain doubtful it is a meteorite and look forward to an actual classification.

Dear List:
Here's the latest;
Rutgers University
geologists Jeremy Delaney, Gail Ashley and Claire Condie and Peter
Elliott, an independent metallurgist who studied the object, determined
it was an iron meteorite because of its density, magnetic properties,
markings and coloration.
This is the latest news, so, do we know any of these kind folks? And
are they experienced in meteorites?
