[meteorite-list] pyrite not magnetic

Pyrite, as in FeS2 is not ferromagnetic but diamagnetic. Upon heating
pyrite oxidizes and produces magnetic products (oxides). In contrast,
CoS2 with the pyrite structure is ferromagnetic. Anyway, pyrite is
rarely found in meteorites.
