Dear list,

I wholly agree with Bernd's sentiments and plea for all of us
to commit an act of selflessness in a very noble effort to help, not only
another
human being in serious need, but in a very true sense of the definition, a
family member.

So want everyone, who can, hold back a few dollars you maybe were planning
on using to make your
latest acquisition and donate them out of compassion and concern to Walter
and his family. As Bernd
eloquently said, one never knows when it may be one of us, that may
desperately need such reaching out by
our fellow friends, colleagues... human beings with a soul.

We all walk this path together, no man's an island, what goes around comes
around...
enough cliches for everyone.

I firmly believe in "Passing It Forward"! When it comes down to it, that's
really all you can
count on in life... the like-mindedness of good, caring, and compassionate
people... us!

I'm leaving the pulpit now. I may be too altruistic, but so be it -- I'd
rather be that way than the alternative! :-)
