I have pictured and uploaded ( http://www.niger-meteorite-recon.de/en/meteoriten_verkauf.htm ) meteoritic material from the Ahmiriz region 280km south Dakhla / Morocco. The nearest village to the find is named Noktat Addagmar which is 90 km north of El Gouira close to the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Two eyewitnesses reported that five or six stones fell after a loud explosion and a fireball on June 30, 2006. Material is a friable chondrite most probably type 3 or 4 with fresh fusion crust. TKW is > 1.1 kg, probably more fragments are circulating (Phillipe Thomas?). We kindly request anyone who posseses further knowledge on the circumstances of this possible fall to share their information. If there is enough evidence for a fall classification we will submit Noktat Addagmar to the MNB for classification and will share results with anyone interested. Thanks for your efforts in advance Dr. Svend Buhl www.niger-meteorite-recon.de -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
