Here is the official reply from the classifying scientist: "This is a very nice CO with many small CAIs and chondrules, the Cr2O3 content in olivine is 0.7 to 0.28 wt % and the FeO/MnO in olivine = 110 to 128. A splendid CO3.2." Hope this helps, Greg ==================== Greg Hupe The Hupe Collection NaturesVault (eBay) gmhupe_at_tampabay.rr.com IMCA 3163 ==================== ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Arnold, Chicago!!" <steve_arnol60120_at_yahoo.com> To: <meteorite-list_at_meteoritecentral.com> Sent: Friday, August 04, 2006 4:42 PM Subject: [meteorite-list] nwa 4441 > Hi again list.I just got my 7.7 gram partslice of NWA 4441.It is the new > one from the hupes'.After looking at very closely thru my loupe,I noticed > thier are very small metal flecks in it making it slightly magnetic. It has > been classified as a CO3.2.I thought carbonacous chondrites had no metal > in them.Is this the correct class?Or am I missing something here? > > > > steve arnold, chicago, usa!! > > Steve R.Arnold, Chicago, IL, 60120 > > > website url http://stormbringer60120.tripod.com > > > Illinois meteorites, since 1999! > > > > > > > > > > > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Tired of spam?
