Its in our interest to help correct every error. There are alot of meteorites so its natural that there will be any of them. But I reflect about other thing. NWA 2921 is NOT paired with NWA 3146, 2289, ..........., becouse NAU checked this for possible pairings or its not paired becouse they not checked it for pairings ? Becouse this can be interpreted in 2 different ways. Lets see my NWA2698 Howardite. Its material that is paired with many other NWAs, including "the father" NWA1929. But If I will send it to lets say, Russian Lab I will get unpaired meteorite becouse they dont have comparison material. Also NAU can't technicaly (I think) compare every Howardite to many many others for possible pairings. My specimen is paired, becouse I say to Ted, to compare it with NWA1929, becouse Im was sure that it was the same material. So "unpaired meteorite" can't alvays mean that it is unpaired, but only that it was not classified as paired. If Im wrong, correct me. -----[ MARCIN CIMALA ]-----[ I.M.C.A.#3667 ]----- http://www.Meteoryt.net marcin_at_meteoryt.net http://www.PolandMET.com marcin_at_polandmet.com http://www.Gao-Guenie.com GSM +48(607)535 195 --------[ Member of Polish Meteoritical Society ]-------- Received on Thu 22 Sep 2005 02:27:14 PM PDT |
