Dear Listees:

Greetings all. I have just returned from Denver. I am sure that you are
all keen to hear the raffle results, and I'm sorry I have not been able
to post before now. I did not have my laptop with me, so needed to wait
until I got home. Will post more details later, but here's what you all
want to know.

Grand Prize Winners in order:

1) Steve Arnold, Chicago
2) Adam Hupe, The Hupe Collection
3) Fred Bieler, Astronomics.com
4) Suzanne, Lisa, and Beth Morrison, Tucson, AZ
5) Andreas Gruenemeyer, Germany
6) Steve Drummond, "The Unknown Collector"

The first four winners have already chosen their prizes, so Andreas,
please email me ASAP to tell me which of the remaining two you'd like
to claim. You can choose between Grand Prize A and Grand Prize C. Steve
Drummond will receive the prize that you don't choose.

The runners-up were:

1) Susan Patton
2) Fred Olsen
3) Eric Olson
4) Derek Yoost
5) Bob Holmes
6) Michael Blood
7) Dennis Bomke
8) Jay Piatek
9) Peter Scherff
10) Bob Verish
11) Carl Saconn
12) Anne Black

You can see the prize list and find out exactly what you won here:

We all had a great time, and thanks to the lovely Leigh Anne DelRay and
Kelsea Arnold, daughter of meteorite hunter Steve Arnold IMB who pulled
the actual tickets out of the bag. We also have a consolation prize for
Martin Altmann who did so very much to make this event happen.

Mike Jensen and the Denver COMETS have very graciously offered to take
care of mailing the bulk of the prizes from Denver. I will mail some
from here, and a few will come directly from the donators. We'll try to
get all that sorted out in short order for you. The Denver COMETS are
generously covering the mailing expenses of all the prizes currently in
Denver -- and that's most of them -- so thank you all for that (we did
not want to spent ANY ticket sales money on admin expenses, and so we
didn't).

Final total was close to $12,000, I think. I still have to add up the
checks and cash that were given to me during the show.

Tucson's largest newspaper, the "Arizona Daily Star" just did a phone
interview with me, and they will be running an article on the raffle in
Thursday's edition.

Now I have 440 emails to read, so more later.

Well done all,

Geoff N.
