Hello Darren and List,

This would require the presence of olivine in eucrites as a major constituent
(which isn't the case). Ceres' visible and infrared reflectances point toward
carbonaceous, clayey material rather than pyroxene and plagioclase as is the
case for Vesta and the eucrites. So far only minor amounts of olivine have been
reported from eucrites:

a) 0.7vol% for NWA 011 (the olivine is iron-rich),
b) Clasts in NWA 049 contain veinlets of olivine,
c) NWA 1000 has veins of fayalitic olivine,
d) NWA 1644 has minor olivine.

The amounts of olivine we do find in eucrites may come from
a basin on Vesta whose spectrum shows evidence for olivine.
