This is a particularly showy and beautiful Eucrite, having diogenite clasts and extremely fine grained basaltic clasts embedded in a light matrix having a pink hue! Many of the larger slices also have sizeable pieces of metal showing! This is a visually striking eucrite, and the scientists that classified it dubbed it the "pink eucrite". Specimens are now up on the website. Enjoy! -John & Dawn Arizona Skies Meteorites http://www.arizonaskiesmeteorites.com Received on Tue 15 Nov 2005 04:03:18 PM PST |
