For those who don't, it's a software that enables you to visit virtually any place on earth. It's based on satellite pictures and overlaid with altitude datas. So you can get some cool 3D landscapes based on real datas. Image quality is sometimes wonderful (you can view cars, people shadows...) You can download it free at this address : http://earth.google.com/ For meteorite hunters, you can get some cool things at the following location, after installing Google Earth : - Meteoritical Bulletin : You can view the place of every meteorite found on earth by clicking on the globe icon next to the meteorite name : http://tin.er.usgs.gov/meteor/metbull.php - All meteorites of the world in a single file ; you can download the file on my website : http://www.meteor-center.com/meteorites.kmz - 54 meteor craters to visit : http://www.googleearthhacks.com/dlcat34/Craters.htm Maybe one will discover new craters as did archeologists who found new roman villas after using Google Earth ! It's also useful to prepare a meteorite hunting trip or finding cool and plain areas. That's all folks ;-) Best regards, Pierre-Marie PELE www.meteor-center.com ___________________________________________________________________________ Appel audio GRATUIT partout dans le monde avec le nouveau Yahoo!
