Hello Frederic and List,

"What do you think about those different
kinds of DIs present in Tnz057 (C4-an)?"

http://meteoriteshow.free.fr/images/b117/tan057-slices-MNHN(oct-2005)/tnz057-slice_nr7-59.3g(2-Dark_Inclusions)-web.jpg

I agree, while the bigger one looks like a real DI composed of
grainy matrix material (olivine, pyroxene, magnetite, etc.), I
wonder if the smaller one really is a DI. So what could it be ??? :

- a dark inclusion with a higher density and/or finer-grained components
- a xenolithic clast (a huge euhedral, (weathered?) pyroxene crystal?)
- a totally oxidized metallic bleb (limonite?)

Anyone else who can or would like to shed a little more light on these DIs?

Cheers,

Bernd
