Good optical zoom, you can go as close as 10mm and it will be so sharp, that without problems, one can excessively enlarge the picture later, very good colours, so that one has not to manipulate the pictures later and suitable for idiots like me - it's my first digital camera and I didn't read the manual yet. Quite affordable it's too. That picture I shot without artificial light, just with my free hand and let all automatical settings. Gosh, Mr.Nikon should send me a check, but seriously if someone thinks about a new allround camera, which shouldn't be to sophisticated, expensive or difficult to use, I would recommend this one.
