But the breccia on Benguerir is really visible with naked eye, displaying a much darker, medium grey matrix along the main fair grey LL6 matrix. But once again, I only saw two small fragment like that, the ones I bought in Morocco, and even did not see a picture of another one. All the best, Fred ----- Original Message ----- From: <bernd.pauli_at_paulinet.de> To: <Meteorite-list_at_meteoritecentral.com> Sent: Thursday, March 31, 2005 3:35 PM Subject: [meteorite-list] Benguerir vs. Bensour > Fred wrote: > > > Benguerir is a breccia (and Bensour is not). > > Hi Fred and List, > > This is not quite true as Bensour is described as monomict > and *m i c r o* brecciated, but, to me, the Bensour texture > looks finer-grained and more monotonous than the Benguerir > texture with its small, mostly tiny, dark- and medium gray, > intermingled fragments. > > Best wishes, > > Bernd > > ______________________________________________ > Meteorite-list mailing list > Meteorite-list_at_meteoritecentral.com > http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list > Received on Thu 31 Mar 2005 09:11:36 AM PST |
