I didn't Know about the Feb 14 and Eros. But kinda too coincidental for
both, ya think? Jerry Flaherty

Subject: [meteorite-list] NASA and "cute" mission dates

So, does NASA make lots of effort to give their exploration missions "cute"
dates? I'm thinking
about the February 14th date of entering orbit around Eros, and the July 4th
date for the fireworks
display of "Deep Impact". Are dates like this really by coincidence the
best timing, or do they
choose less-than-perfect times to get special dates?
