Sterling painted a very nice picture meteoritehunting with Master Yoda, and
then Rob left nothing to the imagination in his seemless rendition of
"Yoblood" (Now please use those talents to add Pavlov's 60 dogs
_http://www.cshl.edu/PDogs/_ (http://www.cshl.edu/PDogs/) and the Cerebus three-headed hound to
the famous dogs collection! Not to mention Snagglepus and Underdog).
Sterling, you are right, though I wonder if the Force works better on magnetic
meteorites or equally well with achondrites? It is bedtime so I will count the
meteorites Yoda tosses me over his shoulder into my catcher's mitt as I drift
off to sleep...just as soon as I answer Michael B.'s gentlemanly post:

Michael B. submitted a very distinguished answer:

>So, to rephrase: it is asinine to deal with people who's
>reputations for dishonest dealing proceed them.(period -
>this is the main thrust of the article)

Hola Michael, Yes, so very true.... Like, - if you play with fire you
probably burn your finger... - Corollary: And if you wrestle with maiale you get
full of mud - and the swine loves it...

>As an add on, I believe one should also proceed with
>caution when dealing with someone yet to establish their
>reliability. I state this more as reasonable behavior than
>behavior which I always practice, myself. I tend to take
>people at their word until they prove themselves unworthy
>of trust.

I could not have phrased that so well. (maybe longer, but not better).
Thank you Michael for a generous reply. Unfortunate it is, as you have
pointed out, that "established" is so often paired with "reputation" to the tenor
of denying opportunity to small honest collectors. Thankfully, on the other
hand, that word travels in meteoriteland like lightening and the "main" mass
of collectors derives social benefit by denouncing and rejecting corrupt
individuals.

Thanks kindly for that important clarification!

Now, Martin A. has made a wonderful start to introduce some German
collectors not in the press. I only wish other equally concerned European or others
were motivated to share even a much smaller list than Buckleboo's treasure.
Thanks kindly Martin, I am sorry Europe is so silent to the kind invitation to
add more people...the rest of the world awaits to see who will chime right
in... (oops, my vocabulary is in the absolute pits at the moment, time to
count black desert stones Yoda tosses:-) )

Saludos to all, Doug
