You just wasted 3/4's > of the material! Why not take a piece 27 x 46mm and 4mm thick and epoxy it > to the glass and save your self the second cut and 6mm of your material? > You can call me what you will, but I can not see the reasoning behind the > waste! If you are making a lunar thin section, that is an expensive > proposition! its maybe theory. Usually when I cut meteorite and I know that I need some material for TS in future, I trying to cut one or more slices 1-2mm thin only with destination for TS. Ofcourse its big waste of material, but You need them for classification and later You can make proper price of TS depending of how much material You lose (specimen, cut loses) -----[ MARCIN CIMALA ]-----[ I.M.C.A.#3667 ]----- http://www.Meteoryt.net marcin_at_meteoryt.net http://www.PolandMET.com marcin_at_polandmet.com http://www.Gao-Guenie.com GSM +48(607)535 195 --------[ Member of Polish Meteoritical Society ]-------- Received on Thu 09 Jun 2005 03:44:04 AM PDT |
