That's the reason, why we find substantially less irons in Africa than in Australia. Tom, Obviously the giraffe swallowed a couple of siderites before it was demised by the Chixculob (or alike) tsumani. This exotic example therefore is to learn us one more feature: some 65 MY ago (and perhaps still now ?), giraffes did not digest very readily siderites....A valuable observation for Science...
