Well believe me or not. I have really been wondering why the rovers have found so FEW meteorites so far. Why? 1) Atmosphere does not blow or burn them up on their way down. Atmosphere less than 1% of Earths. 2) Closer to asteroid belt. 3) Much less erosion because of lacking water. No lakes, streams, ice (at least much less since it's so dry). Just look at the number of craters compared to Earth. 4) The cold preserve them. 5) No Hupes, No Farmers, etc., etc. :-) Contributing negative to their survival might be the great diurnal variability of the temperature. Might explain why an iron was found.
