List members and Ebay watchers,
Before anyone else jumps on Bill for expressing his opinion about this Ebay
auction, I'd suggest you take a look at it from all angles. The two most
active bidders....royalboot and bluekatrino....have a history of bidding on
several of the exact same items. Coincidence? I doubt it. The two
bidders were bidding on meteorites, Italian art glass and lion's claws.

In the past month, bluekatrino bid on five items, four of which were also
bid on by royalboot. I'm not saying that this auction involved shill
bidding, that's impossible to tell for sure, but like Bill, it looks fishy
to me.

I'm really surprised that no one has mentioned the fact that the seller
"delraygoddess" made the following claim:

"The retail cost of Campo Del Cielo Meteorites in a store are about 5.00 a
gram, and The reserve on this one is WAY less! THIS IS A STEAL!!!! "

Five bucks a gram for "new or old" Campo Del Cielo meteorites? I'd say
that this is blatantly deceptive advertising!

This is something that the IMCA ought to howl about. What do you say Ken?

Best,
John Gwilliam
