Meteorite Recovered By Farmer

Edmonton (CP) - Nick Broda, a farmer who lives eight miles north of
Bruderheim, 34 miles northeast of Edmonton, said Friday he thinks he has
found a piece of a meteorite.
His finding followed earlier reports of a meteor flaming through the
sky in that area of the province.
Mr. Broda said the piece of rock he found in his front yard Friday
weighed about one pound, was grey and charred. He said it is speckled in
silver and gold.
The rock is being sent to the University of Alberta here.
