Residents may further tell you that it is one of the state's oldest communities. But last November 8th the town acquired a far more notable status - in fact, one which is unique in all the world. For the second time in less than a dozen years, a meteo- rite not only fell there but crashed through the roof of a home. The chance of such an occurrence is, well, just plain astronomical. It was about 9:15 p.m. Eastern standard time. Robert and Wanda Donahue were sitting in the breezeway of their home watching 'M*A*S*H' on television when they heard a muffled explosion in the front part of the house. It sounded 'like a truck coming through the front door. Best wishes, Bernd Received on Fri 25 Feb 2005 12:06:00 PM PST |
