Mike,

You are dancing on the edge of a very important topic.
 There is no reason at all to think that the remote
deserts you have worked are "easier" than NV/CA dry
lakes. The meteorite flux should be the same.
Preservation will vary a little. Finding conditions
can't be all that different, although the scale of the
favorable search area varies a fair bit.

NWA's are the most under-valued thing on this planet.
Soon they will be plucked clean. For goodness sake,
it's not about where they landed on earth. It's
entirely about where they came from. Wake up
everybody. This moment in earth history is the
meteorite collector's climax. We are living in the
"good old days"!

I would readily bet that we are already on the
downhill slope. There will never again be the
abundance we currently know!
