Luckily, there is no brutal, thuggish monopoly on the diamond market like there is with the DeBeers
company. If it weren't for their control, diamonds wouldn't be as expensive as they are (and I
think that, within 10 to 20 years, methods of producing artificial diamonds will advance to the
point that diamonds fall to cubic circonia prices).
