Cochran said the rock was finally examined by Eric Law from the Muskingum College Science Department, who told her it had been subjected to high heat, but was not a meteorite. If it was a meteorite, it would have created a crater the size of her store. Cochran admitted she was disappointed, but still wonders where the object came from.
